| - A Note on Eccentricity in the Realm of Love. Eccentricity, fantasies and bizarre whims multiply in libertine literature from the 1740s on, to the point where they dominate the content of the novel, transformed into a showcase for sexual eccentricities. The issue here is what is at stake in this transformation - from the erotic stance inherited from the Renaissance to the unending eccentricities, which, from then on, characterise the relationship of libertinism to pleasure.
- La bizarrerie, les fantaisies et caprices bizarres se multiplient dans la littérature libertine à partir des années 1740, jusqu’à s’imposer comme la matière du roman, devenu album de bizarreries sexuelles. On s’interroge ici sur l’enjeu du passage - de la posture érotique héritée de la Renaissance aux inépuisables bizarreries qui caractérisent désormais le rapport au plaisir du libertinage.
