| - SUMMARY . K-ABC : an adaptation to children with Down’s syndrome Facing the lack of psychometric tools, adapted to atypical populations, the present article constitutes the first section of a study that aims at evaluating the use, in a suitable manner, of the K-ABC test with child and adolescent populations carrying a Down’s syndrome. Following a question review on a set of works that put forward the heterogenic evaluating tools used with deficient subjects, this article proposed a solution to the problem raised by the analysis of results obtained with the K-ABC test of students with Down’s syndrome (i.e., standard notes, degrees of age development of subjects, total intake vs. percentages of good responses). Statistical data screening allows the examiner to determine how individuals how continue in further testing. In a sense, these “ subtests ” clarify the level of performance and the cognitive efficiency of the target subjects.
- RÉSUMÉ. Face au manque d’outils psychométriques adaptés à des populations atypiques, cet article constitue le premier volet d’une étude qui a pour objectif d’évaluer la possibilité d’utiliser de manière adaptée le K-ABC face à une population d’enfants et d’adolescents porteurs d’une trisomie 21. À la suite d’une revue de questions portant sur un ensemble de travaux mettant en avant l’hétérogénéité des outils d’évaluation utilisés chez les sujets déficients, cet article vise à proposer une solution au problème de l’analyse des résultats obtenus au K-ABC par des enfants avec trisomie (i.e., notes standard, âges de développement, notes brutes vs pourcentages de bonnes réponses). Un traitement statistique des données permet de déterminer les subtests les plus discriminants pour cette population, dans le sens où ils rendent compte du niveau des performances obtenues et de l’efficience cognitive des sujets.
